John Woo's Stranglehold
(2007)
Developer: |
Midway Chicago, Tiger Hill Entertainment |
Audio Director: |
Richard Carle |
Music by: |
Jamie Christopherson, Dynamedian, Monarch Audio |
Composer Notes:
The music for this game turned out to be pretty intense. Before any of the music was written I recorded a large Taiko drum ensemble and then chopped those up into smaller fragments to be used in the cues.
On top of that I added some electric guitars (many of them detuned to sound more interesting), traditional Asian istruments and modern orchestral elements.
It was wonderful to work on a project with such an iconic director as John Woo.
