Born to Race

Composer Notes:

This film is a teen car racing movie mixed with a competitive sports movie (think Karate Kid but with cars).  I've always wanted to do a sports movie and a car movie, but I never thought that I'd be able to do both at the same time!

The score runs the gamut of everything from pulse-pounding electronic action music to sentimental solo electric guitar.  The director and I decided early on to not use any orchestral instruments, but instead to focus on synths, percussion and guitars.  After writing the music, I couldn't imagine it any other way.
